About this deal

When connected to a computer the Kontrol Studio has different modes for use with specific DAWs, a general stand-alone assignable mode, and connects natively to Gadget for Mac. This MIDI device is smaller than a sheet of A5 paper and is slim-lined, so it can easily be placed in your travel bag or flight case and features a simple, refined, stylish design that is equipped with white LEDs that let you see the keyboard’s functions and keys with ease.

I have a studio with several big keyboards and controllers, but need an iPad keyboard for the instant idea capture, for the couch, and trips in the woods/beach.And the nanoKontrol has been my primary controller for several years, thanks to its ability to fit comfortably into the tiniest DJ booth (and it is easily replaceable, in a pinch). There’s no Logic plug-in this time, and again no Live remote script, so any knob assignments will need to be manually mapped. If the fault occurs within the first 180 days of your ownership, we'll collect the goods and deliver them back to you free of charge. iOS13 Support for KORG/VOX Products (Corrected Issue with BLE-MIDI Connections for Controller Products ) 2019. The proprietary KORG BLE-MIDI Driver now allows fast and simple wireless connection between your Windows PC and KORG Bluetooth enabled keyboard (such as the nanoSTUDIO series and microKEY Air).

The combination of the nanoKEY Studio with Korg Gadget is the ultimate combination for mobile performance.

My iOS testing for the NanoKontrol Studio was predominantly in Korg’s own Gadget app; mainly because this was the only app I could find that supports it out of the box. On the iOS side of things, I fired up Korg’s Gadget synth/sequencer, activated the nanoKey Studio’s Bluetooth MIDI and was up and running like a champ. That means you can do away with the pesky wires that manage to tangle in your rucsack and connect straight to your device. And I think when you want to be mobile as possible, I would go Ipad only and no peripherals, plenty of other options in AUM to play keys.

the is a smart keyboard with a variety of performance modes, such as the Easy Scale function, which lets someone produce musical phrases using any keys. I’ve got custom artwork on these from Half Sumo Collective… I hope you guys dig them as much as I do. Bluetooth and the parts of an old NI 4Control MIDI controller that also merges incoming data with the MIDI from the Keystep so I can use both over Bluetooth. Whether you're a seasoned professional keyboard player or a complete beginner, the Nanokey Studio's 25 velocity sensitive keys are designed to make playing both fun and accessible. The arpeggiator has six directions available, as well as control over octave range, latching, and tap tempo functions. The eight knobs provide versatile control of your software synthesizers, plug-in effects, and DAW mixer. I’m also a die-hard iPad user, and as I find myself composing more frequently in iOS, I’ve been looking for a capable controller that fits neatly into my everyday backpack. If you pull back the resonance the stepping is not as audible (with resonance at 50% I don’t hear stepping). The nanoKey Studio includes 25 of the same velocity-sensitive, backlit keys as its predecessors, which is a love/hate thing, depending on your needs.
